Nicholas Walker

Nicholas Walker

Nicholas is known for his knowledge of the subtleties and nuances of Argentine Tango. His dance reflects discipline and respect for the intricacies of Argentine Tango. His teaching is characterized by the desire to impart the fundamental skills required of leading and following at all levels.

Growing up in Argentina and Chile gave Nicholas an early affinity for Latino culture and unique insights into the music and dance of the area. Living in the New York City area during the 90’s allowed him to study with some of the top North American and Argentinian dancers. He considers his primary influences teachers such as Gustavo & Giselle, Juan Bruno, Carlos Gavito, Pablo Pugliesi, Rebecca Shulman, and Daniel Trenner.

Nicholas has performed at the Repertory Dance Theater and as part of the Madeleine Festival at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City. He has also performed at various locations in the New York City area with dancers of  the TangoMujer dance company.

Nicholas has been teaching Argentine Tango in Salt Lake City since 1997.
